Fluid Power Net International (FPNI) is a worldwide Network of Research R&D Fluid Power Laboratories.. The objective of FPNI is to develop close research co-operation between member Laboratories and Industry and provide research facilities world-wide. The multinational character of FPNI and the specialized skills of the various Laboratories are well suited to meet the challenges ahead for fluid power.
 
FPNI publishes the International Journal of Fluid Power, specialized books on fluid power and maintains the WWW Virtual Library on Fluid Power. An important aspect of FPNI is technology transfer via Workshops, Conferences and Forums - a total of seven international events have been run since 1998, and exchange of students between member Universities. FPNI currently has 23 National Nodes and networks 30 R&D Hydraulic & Pneumatic Laboratories with over 50 academic staff and over 80 research staff and PhD students
 
Fluid Power Net is the official web site of FPNI. It provides information about, and links to, world-wide research and industrial activities in the field of fluid power. It also provides an overview of research, development and education activities carried out at the Universities and R&D Centres and contains an on-line bibliography of books, conference and journal papers and reports on fluid power as well as links to bibliographies dealing with associated fields (simulation, modelling, mechatronics).
